Franklyn Odhiambo works on Digital Identity and the African Digital Economy at Omidyar Network. In his role, he informs strategy and supports international development organizations, governments, and regional civil society organizations in shaping transparent and accountable norms and practices for digital identity in Africa. Franklyn is a thought leader in African technology policy and institutions and has written broadly on the need for ethical technology choices in Africa. In his free time, he sits on local high school boards and supports a scholarship fund for girls from low-income communities. Franklyn is a graduate of the African Leadership Academy and the University of California, Berkeley.
