Breakthrough

We Count! is a multimedia campaign to build the civic power of LGBTQ+ and immigrant youth of color, and amplify their ideas and dreams. Together with leading community organizers, including the Alliance for Youth Action, Advocates for Youth, Cleveland Votes, HeadCount, and Ignite, Breakthrough will offer tailored voting and Census resources, a safe space for listening and storytelling, and a springboard for action. Through mass media, stories will cascade, with GenZ voters feeling turbocharged by the passion, imagination, and actions of their peers. We Count! builds on a 20-year legacy of harnessing the power of storytelling, media and pop culture to advance human rights. Since inception, Breakthrough has accelerated narrative and cultural change at the intersection of gender equity, racial justice, and immigrant rights.
