Kidogo

Kidogo’s focus has been to prevent young children living in informal settlements from regressing in their development due to disruptions caused by COVID-19. Since the pandemic, Kidogo has created, assembled, and distributed over 26,000 Play Packs to create learning opportunities for children while schools are closed. We have also equipped more than 4,000 parents with the knowledge and skills they need to create nurturing, stimulating experiences at home through our new Digital Caregiving platforms. Through weekly SMS and WhatsApp messages with parenting tips and activity suggestions, combined with a weekly segment on 3 community radio stations, 94 percent of parents have reported improved parenting skills.
