Rightwalk Foundation
Rightwalk Foundation (RWF) has its eyes and vision focused on accomplishing an equitable, inclusive, and socially just society by co-shaping public policy and translating them into action, that involves engaging with system leadership, lawmakers, and communities; and setting up responsive and transparent governance systems.
Since its inception, the RWF has been working actively towards making classrooms more inclusive by getting underprivileged children access to private schools under the 25% provision of the Right to Education Act. This one opportunity can offer ten years’ worth of mainstream quality education to the poor child, thereby transforming his/her life. During the period 2015-2020, RWF has touched the lives of 230,000 children in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous and challenging state, by ensuring quality education for them in unaided private schools for free. RightWalk has also been training private school educators in inclusive classroom practices to ensure seamless integration and joyful learning for RTE children. There has been a noticeable change in the mindset of people from exclusion to inclusion in politics, bureaucracy, media, public, and classrooms.
