Seema Jalan is the Executive Director of the UN Foundation’s Universal Access Project, which works to empower girls and women by improving their access to reproductive health and family planning services globally. The Universal Access Project, together with the community of sexual and reproductive health and rights organizations it supports, has helped advocate for and protect more than $600 million in U.S. funding for international reproductive health and family planning that in 2017 provided 25 million women with access to life-saving contraceptive services and supplies.
