Alice Albright is the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Partnership for Education, overseeing the Secretariat of a multilateral partnership organization made up of 65 developing country partners, donor governments, civil society organizations, teachers organizations, international organizations, and private sector foundations and the business community. Before assuming her current role in 2013, Ms. Albright served in the Obama administration as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. From 2001 to 2009, she served as Chief Financial and Investment Officer for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI), and was named head of GAVI’s Washington, DC, office in 2003. Alice holds an MA from Williams College, MA from Columbia University, and began her career in the financial industry.
